The city of Norfolk is not too big not too small. It is comfortable and easy to look around the city. Until we visited Norfolk, we didn’t know much about this city. After spending a couple of days in downtown, we liked Norfolk a lot. The best thing we liked here is taking a self-guided tour of the humongous IOWA class battleship ‘USS Wisconsin’, one of the largest and last battleships built by the U.S. Navy. It is next to the museum ‘Nauticus’, the best maritime museum I have ever visited. It kept me interested all day. The USS Wisconsin tour is available through Nauticus Museum (US$15.95/person for general admission for museums and battleship self-tour). Next day, we visited General MacArthur Memorial Center, Saint Paul’s Church, the NEON District, Bob’s Gun shop (the biggest gun shop I have ever seen), Chrysler Museum of Art and Glass Studio, Historic Freemason Street, and Norfolk/Taiwan Friendship Pagoda.
